The little gem that is Lüdinghausen’s Hotel No. 11 has been expanded in two directions, with the addition of a modern annex as well as the incorporation of the house next door, a 1619-vintage structure that is the oldest residence in town. The interiors across all three houses are a beautifully eclectic mix of the contemporary and the historical, including cupboards crafted from old French shutters and furniture collected from all over Europe. A full restaurant is beyond No. 11’s ambitions, but the café is a fine one, serving a French breakfast in the morning and coffee, tea, cakes, and tarts into the afternoon.
