For many travelers, the historic district of Beyoğlu is the very heart of Istanbul — one of the city’s most picturesque and vibrant areas. Just steps from Istiklal Caddesi, one of Istanbul’s liveliest pedestrian streets, you’ll find the Westist.
Virtually absent here is the Ottoman style, replaced by an Art Deco–influenced yet thoroughly contemporary minimalist aesthetic — a near-monochrome palette where white and black are accented by subtle pinks and blues, and crisp modernist lines dominate the visual composition.
Space comes at a premium in this densely packed quarter of the city, and the Westist’s rooms are compact. However, their efficient layouts ensure they never feel cramped.
A small spa nudges the Westist closer to luxury-hotel territory, while on the ground floor, the Pera Antakya restaurant — named after Beyoğlu’s original name, Pera — completes the experience, serving traditional Turkish fare in a lively, modern setting. Breakfast is not served at the hotel.
