The Adriatic coast of Montenegro has seen substantial luxury development in recent years, and the arrival of the first One&Only resort in Europe adds momentum to the trend. Like all the brand’s hotels, the One&Only Portonovi is in the top tier when it comes to luxury, and it adds an Italian restaurant by the Michelin-starred chef Giorgio Locatelli to the equation (as well as an upscale modern Japanese restaurant attached to the pool club). Rooms, suites, and villas are chic, spacious, and phenomenally comfortable, and the views of the Bay of Kotor are extraordinarily calming — as is the Chenot Espace spa.
