Le Couvent des Minimes, un Hôtel & Spa L’Occitane en Provence

Chemin des Jeux de Mai, Mane en Provence, France
49 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Quiet
Its name leaves no doubt as to the purpose for which it was originally constructed, but all that remains of its days as a religious institution is its pervasive sense of tranquility. Le Couvent des Minimes, un Hôtel & Spa L’Occitane en Provence is just what it says it is: a 17th-century convent transformed into a wellness-focused retreat in the charming Provençal village of Mane.

Behind picturesque weathered stone walls is a thoroughly contemporary luxury hotel, one whose relatively modest size — 49 rooms, suites, and villas — makes its extensive facilities all the more impressive. The accommodations themselves are quietly luxurious, retaining elements of the historical architecture but decorated in a soothingly minimalist, organic modern style.

The Spa L’Occitane is a certified “Sustainable Wellbeing Center,” the first in the world, and across its 2,500 square meters it incorporates alongside its treatment rooms an indoor pool, a gym, a yoga room, a L’Occitane boutique. Nor is the other sense of the word “restoration” neglected — guests choose between the bistro-style Pamparigouste and the gastronomic Le Feuillée, the latter the proud recipient of a MICHELIN Star.
