Herb gardens surround a lovely pool, and the rooms are named for the local plants, from lavender and rosemary to the more exotic santolina and artemisia. Though contemporary in construction they’re all classic in style, lending a certain timelessness to the experience — and while they’re all exceedingly comfortable, there’s nothing ostentatious about them.
The breakfast is an expansive Sicilian-style buffet, and at dinner the restaurant, under the direction of chef Angelo Pumilia, transforms the island’s traditional flavors into something elevated and modern. There’s a beach club a few minutes’ drive away, and ample opportunity for exploring by bike or on foot — and back at the estate, cooking classes and wine tastings are always on offer. (There are benefits to staying in a hotel owned by a winemaking family.)

The environment was filled with fragrance of herbal plants and surrounded by lovely vistas of vineyards and ocean. Serene and comfortable with exceptional service and food.
Friendly professional service, beautiful setting, excellent food and a highly informative wine tasting made for a fabulous few days. Also enjoyed the beach club. Would love to return.
