One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
It’s hard not to feel like you’ve seen it all when it comes to Thai hospitality. But hiding in plain sight on the west coast, on the mainland just to the north of Phuket, is something quite extraordinary. Iniala Beach House is bigger than a house, but not by much — this high-design luxury boutique hotel is made up of a three-bedroom villa, a penthouse, six suites, and a handful of pool residences. Eleven different designers each created a unique style for this luxe, pocket-sized property, and the result is nothing if not memorable.
Every unit has a private deck; many offer access to their villa’s pool, and all of them are mere steps from the sands of Natai Beach. The interiors range from the baroque Boudoir Suite to the elevated minimalism of the Owner’s Suite; there’s something here, aesthetically, for every fan of contemporary design.
There’s also plenty of sheer physical luxury for the other senses. Each villa has its own private spa, offering a variety of massages and other treatments, in addition to the hotel’s Pearl Spa. The gym is unusually well equipped, and includes a Thai boxing ring; yoga on the beach is a calmer alternative, and the unique Cinema of Nature offers an immersive cinematic experience, screening films as well as live sporting events throughout the day.
And for such a small hotel, Iniala Beach House goes big in its culinary ambitions — the resort’s everyday cuisine is overseen by an Iron Chef Thailand winner, and the 15-seat Aulis Phuket is the work of the British chef and restaurateur Simon Rogan, whose global restaurant collection has racked up around a dozen MICHELIN Stars.
