One of several lodges that fall under the Shamwari umbrella, within the South African private game reserve of the same name, Shamwari Bayethe is named for a local greeting that’s essentially equivalent to “I salute you.” An auspicious beginning for lodge whose twelve tents aim to provide top-flight luxury alongside total immersion in the landscape of the Eastern Cape.
