The century-old courthouse building that now houses The Wellem is nothing if not grand; behind a façade lined with columns you’ll find a vast lobby criscrossed with stone staircases. Hints of contemporary design mark the interior, however, and by the time you’re inside one of the studios and suites, you’re treated to a modern, boutique hotel–inspired experience; colorful, memorable, and full of art. Kitchens or kitchenettes are universal, as are en-suite washers and dryers.
