One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
The Mexico City neighborhood of Condesa has more than a few very fine homegrown boutique hotels, but in this cosmopolitan corner of this famously international city a luxury boutique hotel by the Texas-based Bunkhouse group is a welcome addition. The Hotel San Fernando keeps the name of the building it calls home, a distinctive 1947 apartment building just off the leafy Parque México; its interiors have been thoroughly reimagined by the local firm Reurbano in partnership with Bunkhouse’s in-house design team, and the result combines antique and modern influences in a timeless, memorable way.

The rooms are chic in hues of coral and white, with living plants for atmosphere, and their low-key comforts include subtle luxuries like Kassatex linens and custom Bunkhouse robes. Some have kitchenettes, others balconies, and the top-floor Terraza suites open onto an outdoor terrace.

Equally important, of course, are the public spaces, another area where Bunkhouse has some expertise. Lounge Fernando is open from early afternoon through to after dinner, and serves cheese boards, tacos, and sandwiches alongside a thoughtful cocktail list. And the Rooftop Terrace is the venue not only for breakfast but for all-day co-working and lounging into the evening hours.
