Here the design, too, is unconventional, a modern and minimalist look that’s nevertheless welcoming and identifiably local. The standard rooms are comfortable enough, while the deluxes and the suites quickly grow to large proportions; the latter come with extras like private pools or saunas. Nor is the cuisine what you’d expect: not traditional Okinawan fare but a “Latin Italian” hybrid that combines Italian, Spanish, and Mexican flavors.
