AKA White House
Le contenu de cette page n'est pas disponible en français pour le moment. Okay, the actual White House hasn’t been converted into luxurious extended-stay apartments. Yet. But in the meantime, two blocks away, AKA White House is just about as close as you can get to living in America’s most famous residence without winning an election. It’s not your ordinary hotel — generous square footage, full kitchens, and in-suite laundry see to that — but at the same time it’s much more than a one-off apartment share.
The one- and two-bedroom suites come with high-end comforts like plush king beds and Bulgari bath products, and the Platinum and Penthouse suites are bigger, grander, and (naturally) higher up. The look is sedate, as suits both an all-business town like D.C. and a long-stay apartment where too much extravagance can begin to grate. And while the residential atmosphere means you can be as private and self-sufficient as you like, AKA’s Resident Services Team is on hand to perform all the functions of a proper hotel concierge.
There’s a bit of in-house social life as well, courtesy of a.lounge, a capacious open-plan space that functions as a bar, lounge, workspace and informal meeting space. And located as you are in the heart of D.C., you’ve got easy access to no end of restaurants, bars, and cultural attractions.
