Nagasaki’s Unzen-Amakusa National Park is home to some spectacular ancient forests — and within these forests, some equally extraordinary lodgings. Ryotei Hanzuiryo is a 14-villa escape offering all the trappings of ryokan-style hospitality, from spring-fed onsen baths to elaborate and traditional locally sourced meals.
