Casa Clàt
Viale Regina Margherita 55/57 , Cagliari, Italy
9 Rooms
Modern Design & Lively
One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
In the heart of Cagliari, mere minutes by foot from the marina quarter, is a luxury boutique hotel that shows an uncommonly refined side of the Sardinian capital. Casa Clàt employed, in the role of art director, the Sardinian-based artist STUDIO PILIA; the style is a unique creation that spans multiple eras and incorporates the work of many other Sardinian artists, designers, and craftspeople.
It almost goes without saying that each of Casa Clàt’s nine suites is unique, not only in the decorative choices but in the layouts dictated by this historical structure. You might find antique brickwork alongside modern concrete, or old timbers above new hardwood floors. And while life here is luxurious, it’s not the standardized luxury of one of Sardinia’s golf resorts.
Sardinian cooking, specifically seafood, is an area of special focus, and for good reason — siblings Claudio and Caterina Murgia, for whom Casa Clàt is indirectly named, are the owners of the Nieddittas mussel farming concern. The hotel’s restaurant serves mussels among other Sardinian specialties; the revelry carries over into the hotel’s lounge bar and into its delightfully green courtyard garden.
