Hosts Alexandra and Christophe Bacquié aim to leave a personal stamp on every interaction, with an atmosphere that’s equal parts tranquil and friendly. The rooms in the farmhouse are splendid, as are the cottages, and the outdoor pool and pétanque courts are welcome additions. Most central to the experience, however, is the restaurant, where Christophe, an award-winning chef in his own right, serves his distinctive Mediterranean fare either privately on the terrace or at a communal table.
