“Colonial” isn’t just a stylistic descriptor — this house dates back to 1560, and was one of the city’s first stone structures. The renovation that transformed it into the boutique hotel you see today was more recent — just in 2015 — but the restoration was a sensitive one, preserving the building’s historical character while updating it with modern furniture and amenities.
