Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa
It’s also a surprisingly elegant and refined look for Kimpton, which makes sense, as Grand Cayman is, shall we say, a moneyed destination, in more ways than one. The clean-lined, visually minimalist guest rooms are pure luxury, and the suites offer extra space and astonishing ocean views.
And while the food scene is a weakness for some Caribbean destinations, Grand Cayman has undergone something of a culinary renaissance, with a nascent locavore movement (no mean feat for a small island) and plenty of interest from international chefs as well. Here the Seafire’s multiple restaurants and bars operate at a level that’s on par with many a more established foodie destination — all delivered with a distinctive Cayman accent.

Our 20-point scale is based on post-stay ratings from verified MICHELIN Guide guests. This feedback is important, and plays a role in helping us decide whether or not a hotel should remain in our selection.

Great staff and service (exceedingly friendly, gracious and helpful). Beautiful hotel, feels very new and clean, also has a modern and clean style while also feeling Caribbean. Rooms were great. Location was great, right on the beach, with plenty of beach chairs and seating. Also, for anyone with food allergies (members of our group had food allergies), the hotel staff, chefs, servers, go above and beyond to ensure a safe kitchen and meal preparation environment
