To get straight to the point: with Anantara Mina Ras Al Khaimah Resort, overwater villas have arrived in the Emirates. This is far from Anantara’s first UAE establishment, but RAK’s geography makes it unique; its stilted structures look across a tidal lagoon at a wetland nature reserve, rich with coastal wildlife.
There are plenty of dry-land accommodations as well, which overlook the property’s gardens and beach. But it’s fair to say it’s the villas that make headlines: not just the overwater villas but the Peninsula villas as well, whose pool decks extend out over the coastline and take in panoramic sea views. The comforts throughout, naturally, are first-rate, and the spaces are generous at all levels.
Water sports feature prominently in this Anantara’s offerings, as does the expansive Anantara Spa. A multitude of restaurants range from Southeast Asian to South American fare and just about everything in between.
