In the heart of the town, almost within shouting distance from the castle, this modern bistro adorned in black and white with contrasting touches of light wood is the brainchild of chef Adrien Barrier, who was born in Le Mans and knows Mayenne inside out. After stints with Yannick Alléno and Philippe Mille, this gifted craftsman curates feel-good, flavoursome food that hits the spot every time, illustrated by egg parfait in Kadayif noodles with a minty cream of green peas and spicy oil or pork belly served with a deep-fried croquette of pig’s trotters. The vibe is friendly and casual.
