When it comes to beachside dining in Tulum, Italian may not be the first thing that springs to mind, but this shabby chic local favorite is popular for good reason. The compact menu, which draws upon the cuisine of Genoa, features a small selection of handmade pastas, fresh seafood, and pizzas, all dutifully prepared with quality ingredients (both local and imported) and a faithful sense of rustic simplicity that will be pleasing to purists. Although certainly not a traditional pairing, an enticing variety of fresh-pressed juices and unique cocktails fits the setting to a T (and might be just the thing after a night of carousing). End your meal with the house-spun gelato, which, in keeping with the rest of the food, is straightforwardly delicious.
