Paradise feels like the epitome of a Soho restaurant, providing excellent value and bringing an international cuisine to London's diners. In this case, it is the full breadth of Sri Lankan cooking that is on offer, incorporating family recipes that have taken influences from Portuguese, Malay, South Indian and Dutch cuisine. There is a terrific, inviting warmth to the often spicy dishes, like the long aubergine and jaggery moju. Whatever you order, be sure to accompany it with the delectable lamb fat infused paratha roti.
