The spectacular and relatively quiet Savoyard mountain town of La Clusaz is home to a hotel with the humble name Au Cœur du Village. Here, hidden behind a subdued (but handsome) Alpine-lodge façade, is a luxurious and stylish 60-room hotel complete with an expansive crystal-themed spa and a well-equipped ski shop. The rooms and suites are equal parts Alpine warmth and modern chic, decorated with works by the local artist Ludovic Di Orio. Among the attractions are two restaurants, the gourmet La Cœur and the gastronomic Le Cin5, as well as a stylish bar for après-ski or late-night cocktails.
