Kimpton Naranta Bali

Jalan Terompong, ITDC Lot S-5, Lingkungan Peminge, Nusa Dua, Indonesia

Modern Design & Happening
Kimpton’s global era continues with their first hotel in Bali, set right in the thick of the action: Nusa Dua, on the east side of the island’s southern protuberance. There are plenty of upscale resorts in the area, but the Kimpton Naranta Bali manages to differentiate itself by occupying a sort of Goldilocks zone, offering a mix of boutique-chic style and tasteful luxury that is, for many a visitor to this corner of Bali, exactly the right blend.

This is an all-villa resort, and the accommodations are uniformly spacious, before even taking into account their outdoor lounge space and, in many cases, their private plunge pools. And while most of the charm of a Balinese villa is low-tech, they do come with some welcome modern interventions, like espresso machines and Marshall bluetooth speakers.

As for the location: it’s near the beach, but not on the beach, and adjacent to the Bali National Golf Club, though it does have its own beach club, a short ride away, where drinks and light bites are available. For a more full-featured restaurant or bar, it’s back to the hotel, where the options include a pool bar, a casual café, and Aki & Jack’s, serving Japanese cuisine with a side of barbecue.
