While many local lodgings have luxe aspirations, the experience here is authentically high-end. It’s also authentically local — architects Jaque Studio combined traditional materials and craftsmanship with contemporary clean lines and modernist-inspired simplicity.
The idea is slow living, Riviera Maya style. To that end, NABOA’s 10 suites are solidly built and exquisitely private, even though their spaces are open; some feature indoor-outdoor bathrooms, and all open onto the property’s lush gardens. The fixtures and furnishings are high-quality, proof that Tulum’s ideal bohemian-luxe vibe is achievable without compromising comfort.
Wellness offerings include massages as well as yoga and barre classes, and the hotel’s pool is a delightful one. And while the hotel’s location means both the town center and Tulum Beach are close by, LU_LO, the restaurant and cocktail bar, makes a compelling argument for a night in.
