A well-preserved 19th-century building next to the Vltava River and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House contains one of Prague’s most unique boutique hotels. In contrast with the early days of design hotels, when international minimalism ruled, Sir Prague is the work of Linda Boronkay, who drew inspiration from the city’s Gothic architecture and the heritage of Czech Cubism.

The result is a series of spaces quite unlike any other, from the warm and eclectic rooms and suites to the sumptuous and softly lit common areas. Plenty of original architecture remains intact, giving Sir Prague a visual depth that’s unmistakably authentic. Seven North, the hotel’s restaurant, serves Mediterranean fare in the building’s central courtyard and an adjacent dining room.
