After years spent working in the hospitality industry for luxury hotel brands, Anne Benichou and Sylvain Greiner decided to get more hands on by opening their own hotel, Casa a Corte, in the Pugliese village of Nardò. The duo has transformed the 16th and 17th property with five design-led guest rooms that blend original grand arches, stone walls and columns with an eclectic mix of antique furnishings, velvet clad armchairs and patterned textiles. There’s a fully equipped kitchen for cooking your own Italian feasts, which opens onto a private courtyard and swimming pool, and a lounge for relaxing over post-dinner drinks. Alternatively, private local chefs can come and do all the work for you. Other experiences available include cooking classes, bike tours, yoga classes, massages and more.
