100 meters from the ski slopes at Le Grand-Bornard is an unusual lodging: Chalet-Hôtel Les Cimes was the Hudry family’s home before it became a hotel, and the owners’ daughter runs La Maison Hudry, the outdoor outfitter/boutique on the ground floor. The five rooms and three suites retain their old-fashioned Alpine charm and deliver an extreme measure of warmth and coziness; they range in size from 15 square meters all the way up to 50. There’s also a surprisingly chic little spa, a lavish brunch service, and a rustic bar that’s perfect for après-ski.
