The restaurant run by brothers Benjamin and David Geisser is a really chic spot with its impressive architecture over two storeys and imposing bar that immediately draws the eye. The upscale design featuring warm wood finishings, elegant gold accents and sophisticated dark tones is in keeping with the calibre of the dedicated front-of-house team and the ambitious, refined food. The cuisine does not confine itself to any one style: this is cooking inspired by the region but also with a cosmopolitan outlook. Creativity, exquisite ingredients, and a bold culinary style go hand in hand with precise craftsmanship on a par with the visually appealing plating. There is a fixed menu comprising three to five courses punctuated by little extras. Each menu revolves around a given theme. The elaborately and delicately prepared dishes are on point – think fresh, glazed Carabinero prawns accompanied by tender clams, thinly sliced black olives and small red and green basil leaves, as well as an incredibly rich reduced bisque packed with flavour. Beyond the nicely curated international wine list, the fantastic creative cocktail pairings are also to be recommended; made from house-made essences, they also come in alcohol-free versions – staff will be happy to advise you.
