Sitting in the heart of London’s Fitzrovia, The Newman takes its design cues from the neighbourhood’s distinct architecture, which blends Victorian design with Art Deco touches. The soft neutral palette of the guest rooms and suites is accessorized with softly curved furnishings and highlights of polished steel to add a 1920s edge to the contemporary design. The mix of Victorian and Art Deco elements also continues into the bathrooms, decorated with bespoke tiles and rounded stone-carved sinks. After dining on European cuisine at Brasserie Adalana guests can head underground to Gambit Bar, where the low lit, intimate atmosphere brings to mind the days when the Fitzrovia’s bohemian, literary crowd would gather together over drinks.
