Design underpins this boutique hotel brand, which at Ovolo Nishi means a moody urban mix of rustic timber, concrete and clay walls, and a mash up of vintage furnishings and original artworks. The brand’s core basic facilities include a not-so-basic mix of free yoga classes, gym with lake views and even laundry service. The Monster Kitchen & Bar, which is open for morning flat whites right through to evening drinks and dinner, has also been given the design treatment with an eclectic mix of vintage floral carpet, Australian boomerang lounges and contemporary design pieces, all crowned by a concrete ceiling and statement light fittings.
