Shenandoah Mansions, an Ash Hotel

501 North Allen Avenue, Richmond, USA
73 Rooms
Contemporary Classic & Lively
Richmond’s Fan District has long been known for its tree-lined avenues, Queen Anne houses, and lively food scene. Shenandoah Mansions gives the neighborhood a hotel to match. Set in a six-story early 20th-century apartment building, it combines period bones with a playful, slightly gothic imagination. Folk art, hand-painted tiles, and block-printed quilts reference Virginia traditions while weaving in a sense of the fantastical. Ash–Bar provides all-day dining, joined by two cocktail bars and a small garden that brings the social life outdoors. Suites take inspiration from regional history, each with its own distinct story.
