The Awasi group, proprietors of luxury adventure lodges in Patagonia and the Atacama, is a perfect fit for Iguazu Falls, a destination that’s less wild but no less spectacular. In fact Awasi Iguazu offers access to more than the famous waterfall — its setting, in the forest on the Argentina side of the falls, offers access to all manner of jungle adventures. The lodge contains the restaurant and bar, as well as living space and a terrace with a treetop view; 14 villas decorated in a handsomely subdued modern-rustic style comprise the accommodations. And though resort-style pampering isn’t quite what Awasi Iguazu is about, the experience is a luxurious one, from the cuisine to the expert-led excursions.
