What began as a seven-room guesthouse on a peaceful lakeshore has grown into one of Georgia’s most ambitious retreats. Located in the Kakheti region, surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains, Lopota Lake Resort still reflects the spirit of its founder, Goga Maisuradze, whose hands-on approach shaped every detail. Today, the resort stretches across 60 hectares, with forest trails, vineyards, spas, and over 200 rooms. Despite its scale, it feels grounded and welcoming. Guests spend their days exploring the landscape, riding horses, dining from the gardens, and tasting wine at the estate’s own Château Buera.
