You will find this stylishly elegant, modern restaurant not far from the Stadtpark and the historical centre of Vienna, adjoining the Sofitel hotel. Under the direction of Stefan Speiser, the impressive-looking open kitchen turns out a creative set menu using selected regional/Austrian and seasonal ingredients, highlighted here and there by subtle Asian notes. The dishes are beautifully balanced and clear – testament to the outstanding craftsmanship that underpins them but that in no way outshines the natural flavour of the excellent ingredients. Everything hangs together wonderfully – for instance, the combination of beetroot, yoghurt, purple curry and wood sorrel. The bread course at the beginning of proceedings is also excellent. You can put together five or seven dishes of your choice from the menu.
