A good dining option close to the Retiro, just a few metres from the Puerta del Niño Jesús entrance gate to the park. This quiet, attractive eatery, a fusion between a restaurant and a tapas bar, offers a contemporary focused à la carte of tapas and small plates with an Andalucian influence, plus two tasting menus (LQDW Short and Long), the unusual names of which (LQDW or Lo Que Diga Willy translates as What Willy Says) are a nod to the owner-chef here. The unusual “gilda” (a type of tapa) of olive, anchovy and piparra pepper is a must here.
