It’s also, as you might have guessed, home to the Colle Alberti Country House, a classic Tuscan villa whose interiors have been given a thoroughly, refreshingly contemporary makeover and now host the estate’s hospitality operation.
Inside the house and the nearby granary and barn are 15 rooms and three suites, a size that makes for a convivial atmosphere but never a crowded one. Each unit is a soothing blend of modern minimalism and antique architecture, and all are luxurious, though not ostentatious. Guests visit Colle Alberti not to impress but to live the good life, Italian style — lounging by the poolside, tasting wines from the capacious cellar, and dining on elevated Tuscan classics made from fresh local ingredients.
