Pub
A lively dining pub with hearty yet refined food and elegant yet unshowy surroundings, it doesn’t take long to realise that The Chalk Freehouse comes from the Tom Kerridge stable. One of his longtime lieutenants, Tom De Keyser, is at the helm, crafting boldly flavoured dishes built around prime British produce – such as rolled shoulder of Launceston lamb with ratatouille. In a nod to the neighbourhood, a reworked version of a classic Chelsea bun makes for a fitting finale. For the best value, come midweek for the set lunch menu.
