Whilst you can just visit the historic Chatsworth Estate as a day tripper, staying awhile at The Cavendish Hotel at Baslow allows some time for exploring more of the estate’s 1,000 plus acres, and for taking in the beauty of the Peak District. This is also where to find some of the best views of the seemingly never-ending rolling countryside, especially from the outdoor terrace, or cozy up in the 1950s-style bar. Guests are also welcome at Chatsworth Health Club, equipped with a gym, pool, and tennis and netball courts.
