The owners of a highly regarded restaurant in Ljubljana are behind this mountain escape, a sloping modernist structure on the hillside above the Julian Alpine village of Gozd Martuljek. Chalet Sofija contains a mere five suites, which range from the merely lavish Suite Izabela, with its panoramic views and 60 square meters of space, to the extraordinary Presidential Suite Izak, whose vast outdoor terrace nearly doubles its already generous area.
