Who will win MICHELIN Stars this year? Which restaurants will make their debut in the Guide's new selection? And who will be recognized with a Bib Gourmand award? All these questions will be answered on May 20, 2024 at The MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for Rio de Janeiro & São Paulo 2024. Organized in partnership with Rio de Janeiro City Hall, the Ceremony will be held at the iconic Copacabana Palace Hotel, bringing together chefs from the restaurants recommended in the Guide's new selection.

At the event, all restaurants that have been included or maintained in the selection will be announced, as well as those selected in the Bib Gourmand category – which recognizes restaurants offering quality cooking at a great price – and, of course, the coveted MICHELIN Stars will also be unveiled.

You can watch the Ceremony, which will be broadcast live on The MICHELIN Guide YouTube channel. Shortly after the announcement, the new selection will be available on the MICHELIN Guide website and app, where gourmets and travelers can find all the restaurants recommended by The MICHELIN Guide in Brazil and around the world.

"After a few years' break from updating our Brazilian selection, we're thrilled to be able to share our latest list of restaurants in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. Thanks to the support of Rio de Janeiro City Hall, we are delighted to bring together the best gastronomic talent from both cities, as well as celebrating their vibrant food scenes," says Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of The MICHELIN Guide.

Eduardo Paes, Mayor of Rio de Janeiro, comments: "The return of The MICHELIN Guide to Rio consolidates our prominent position in world gastronomy. We have more than 4,000 bars and restaurants in the city, employing 60,000 people in the sector. In the last three years, the city has generated almost 14,000 new jobs in the area. Last year alone, there were 5,400 new jobs. This is proof of a sector that is on the rise. And we want more. We're going to attract more tourists, more investment and consolidate the city as one of the best gastronomic destinations."

We hope you're looking forward to discovering the selection of restaurants in The MICHELIN Guide Rio de Janeiro & São Paulo 2024.
