A classic Alpine lodge and a chic contemporary addition together make up Hotel ChristiAnia, a luxury boutique hotel in South Tyrol’s picturesque Val Badia. And the experience within its walls is similarly a meeting of old and new — the warmth of the materials and the coziness of the spaces would be familiar to travelers from a century ago, while the design itself is unmistakably of 21st-century vintage.
Floor-to-ceiling windows are a welcome break from tradition, as is the ChristiAnia’s substantial spa and wellness center. In winter, the location is a quick walk from the Alta Badia ski lifts, while in summer the Golf Club Alta Badia is a short drive away. And in typical Tyrolean style, the hotel’s restaurant serves an abundant daily breakfast, and dinner is set to the backdrop of the mountain panorama.
