Situated in the heart of Vesterbro, this family-run hotel is housed in a classic corner building, with guest rooms that feel colorful and inviting, featuring white oak floors, boldly striped curtains, vibrant patterned wallpapers, and plenty of potted plants.
The Absalon has been in the same family for generations, but its crisp, contemporary look is the result of a 21st-century renovation. All rooms and suites are painted in white and organized by color theme.
There’s onsite bicycle rental, naturally, the Scandinavian-style breakfast buffet is a treat, and while there is no full restaurant onsite, the hotel has a stylish little cocktail bar – the perfect spot to unwind with a craft beer or a glass of wine before heading out into the city for the evening.
Depending on your travel plans, you might take advantage of the hotel’s Concept24 program, which allows you to keep your room for a full 24 hours with no additional charge. There is also an interesting “Concept Green” initiative: guests who decline housekeeping receive a reward, such as a bar voucher, a discount on bike rental, or a complimentary beauty product.
