The cave hotels of Cappadocia are one of the travel world’s favorite stories, and it’s not hard to see why: subterranean suites, stone walls, and picturesque rock formations make for an irresistible setting, and the fact that the skies are dotted with hot air balloons is an unexpected bonus. Signature Cave Cappadocia combines the rough-hewn walls and hand-built construction of the classic cave hotel with an extra measure of elegance, from its fluted columns to its antique-inspired furnishings and ornate en-suite woodwork and carvings.
It’s an all-suite property, and many of the units come with luxe extras like fireplaces, jetted tubs, Turkish baths, or hammams. The restaurant, too, occupies a substantial underground space, possibly the hotel’s most refined environment, thanks to its columns, arches, and polished stone floors. There’s outdoor lounge space as well, for catching a glimpse of the sky, and tours of the region are available via horseback and hot air balloon.
