If you are in northern Portugal and want to taste the region’s typical cuisine… be sure to visit this restaurant. At the foot of Bragança Castle — one of the country’s most iconic medieval landmarks — the famous Chef Luís Portugal, who gained national recognition following his participation in MasterChef, crafts the menu with locally sourced ingredients, inspired by the traditional cuisine of the Trás-os-Montes region. The offering is built around a concise menu, with 4 or 6 “courses,” which include broths (always made with seasonal produce), samosas, octopus with Trás-os-Montes-style purée, veal tenderloin... Spread over two floors and decorated with very distinctive tiles, the setting is enhanced by a charming terrace for summer days!
