The recent explosion of home-sharing was supposed to put hotels out of business, but instead, hoteliers have been busy learning. The Blake Hotel, in New Haven, Connecticut, is an example. Its rooms meld classic and industrial design elements, and feature kitchenettes, smart TVs, and bathrobes, to make guests feel equally welcome for a weekend or a month. (Instagrammable bathrooms are a nice touch, too.)
