The addition of St Julien Hotel & Spa, just off the west end of pedestrianized Pearl Street, takes it over the top, adding a thoroughly luxurious 201-room hotel to this small city’s considerable charms.
The style is contemporary-meets-classic, the interiors striking a balance between luxury-hotel elegance and Mountain West ruggedness; in the most desirable rooms the eye is drawn outside to the Flatirons, the rock formations that are Boulder’s most distinctive geological feature. The spa, meanwhile, is a substantial one, spanning some 10,000 square feet, complete with a 50-foot indoor pool. And Jill’s, the hotel’s upscale restaurant, is a versatile one, with a touch of a French accent.
