This 1870 whaling captain’s house is exquisitely well-preserved, and its interiors add a delightful French accent to the inn’s finely wrought maritime style. Each of its 12 rooms is possessed of its own unique character, and all come with high-end comforts like Tivoli radios and Frette and Matouk linens. It’s close to Main Street and the harbor, but not too close to remain perfectly tranquil, and the breakfast is regarded as one of the best in town.
