Next to a tree-lined boulevard, Gulu Gulu exudes rustic chic with its display of driftwood and art pieces by indigenous tribes. For over 20 years it has been serving traditional Paiwan cooking, which is famed for chargrilled dishes such as BBQ tribal spring chicken. Try the Paiwan traditional rice dumpling wrapped in galaugal-shell flower leaf, as well as aboriginal-style sautéed pork, squid and vegetables with dried flying fish that adds savoury umami.
