Since 1910, the Grand Hotel Tremezzo has embodied a dream. Initially, it was the vision of cosmopolitan pioneers Maria and Enea Gandola, who sought to make Lake Como an essential stop on the Grand Tour by creating a hotel with an international spirit. Since 1975, that dream has lived on through the De Santis family, who brought their distinctive vision of Italian hospitality to the lakeshore.
Facing the majestic Grigne mountains, reflected in the waters where the lake divides into two branches, the hotel welcomes guests into 80 rooms and suites overlooking the lake and nestled within a centuries-old park—once home to the botanical gardens of the adjacent Villa Carlotta. The atmosphere is sumptuous yet inviting, where timeless elegance meets modern comfort.
The hotel features three pools: WOW (Water On the Water), a spectacular floating pool in front of the private beach; the "Flower Pool", tucked among the gardens; and an infinity pool with lake views inside the T Spa—a wellness sanctuary offering treatments by Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella.
The culinary offerings are equally impressive: from the refined cuisine of La Terrazza Gualtiero Marchesi, with a menu signed by the late Master of Italian cuisine, to Escale Trattoria & Wine Bar and T Pizza, the wood-fired pizzeria set amid the park’s greenery. And finally, Giacomo al Lago, nestled beside the floating pool at the lake’s edge. To crown the experience, guests can enjoy a lavish breakfast that ranges from sweet to savory, with the added delight of stepping into the kitchen to watch the chefs at work and order their favorite freshly prepared dish.
Please note: Grand Hotel Tremezzo is open annually from mid-March through the end of October.
