MICHELIN Guide San Francisco 2019 Celebration Recap

Guests gathered at Corey Lee’s one-Michelin-starred In Situ to honor this year’s celebration.

Last Thursday, the 2019 selection for the MICHELIN Guide San Francisco was released, bringing forth great joy with the announcement of two new three-starred restaurants, Dominique Crenn’s Atelier Crenn in the Marina, as well as Kyle and Katina Connaughton’s SingleThread in Healdsburg. There are also five new one-starred restaurants in the 2019 guide: Bar Crenn, Birdsong, Madcap, Nico and Protégé.

To celebrate the news, chefs and industry insiders gathered at a VIP reception held at Corey Lee’s In Situ adjacent to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, noshing on bites like chicken wings stuffed with ham and Gruyère, crab toast with salted egg yolk, and black truffle steamed buns with pork sausage and XO sauce.
