Meet Wylie Dufresne’s Adorable Snowman Doughnut

It's almost too cute to eat.

Earlier this year, culinary wizard Wylie Dufresne paid homage to his grandfather by opening up his first-ever doughnut shop, Du’s Donuts & Coffee, just outside the William Vale Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At Du’s, the chef doles out creative, seasonal flavors like espresso-cardamom, carrot cake, and caramel apple by way of a perfected recipe that he and head baker Colin Kull took several months to perfect.

To get in the Christmas spirit, Dufresne has introduced Du the Snowman, now available for pre-order via the Du’s website. The almost-too-cute-to-eat snowman is comprised of three stacked vanilla-glazed cake doughnuts decorated with chocolate chip buttons, a sour candy scarf and Valrhona pearls for eyes.

“We wanted to make something fun and festive with our donuts,” says Dufresne. “Du the Snowman captures just that!”

Dufresne’s Christmas mascot will be ready for pickup beginning next Friday, December 22 through Sunday, December 24.
